# Stray bullet hits teenager as Muslim youth fire gunshots at Aboabo No.2

A teenager has been rushed to the Manhyia Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region after being hit by a stray bullet from gunshots fired by some Muslim youth at Aboabo No.2 in Kumasi

The Asokore Mampong Municipal Chief Executive, Alhaji Alidu Seidu who confirmed the incident to Accra-based Citi FM said he picked unconfirmed reports from witnesses that the victim has died but he is waiting for an official report from doctors.

According to him, the incident occurred after a group of young Muslim men who had finished performing their prayers to mark the Eid-Ul-Adha on Tuesday started brandishing and firing gunshots into the air which accidentally hit the said yet-to-be-identified teenager.

The MCE added that crime scene police investigators have visited the scene of the bloody incident and taken exhibits for their investigation.

“I cannot confirm whether he is dead or not, but those around are saying he is dead, although we cannot confirm that. Samples have been taken to ascertain what is happening. The Police Commander is around, and he will be going to the hospital to confirm whether the boy has passed on as we continue the search for those involved.”

It is unclear if any arrests have been made yet.

Just as we are trying to recover from the recent shoot outs and killings, another has emerged. Where at are this people getting all this ammunition from? We have the Criminal Investigating Department of GPS who are not doing their jobs.

It appeared to me that, the department is the most useless department in the Ghana Police Service.

They have not been able to resolve any case so far as killing and crime is concerned in recent times. WHEW!

Another 1 ? One whole nut spoils the whole soup. The men and women in this country under this current government are acting as if they are at war with the civilians. Or haven’t they received the requisite training on how to handle situations of this kind? They should have by time learned from the Homeland security (USA) on how they handled George’s case.
These people must grow up…
