Real Madrid’s Champions League campaign starts in under two weeks with a trip to face Inter at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan, so Carlo Ancelotti can now start looking ahead to his return to the place he once called home.
Ancelotti has now named his Champions League squad for the 2021/22 season, with as many as 40 names listed, including a number of homegrown players.
One youngster named on the list is new signing Eduardo Camavinga, who arrived at the club on deadline day as Los Blancos missed out on Kylian Mbappe.
As far as homegrown talent is concerned, Miguel Gutierrez has made the cut having already played the season, while Alvaro Carrillo, Mario Gila, Pablo Ramon and Rafael Marin Zamora are also named.
Other predictable names like Sergio Arribas, Antonio Blanco and Marvin Park have made the list, as have Carlos Dotor and David Gonzalez.
One standout name to be listed was that of Andri Gudjohnsen, who is the son of former Barcelona star Eidur.
