Liberty although relegated has produced remarkable players for Ghana

Liberty Professionals

After 22 years in the Ghana Premier League, the Dansoman-based club have been relegated from the elite division following a 0-0 draw with King Faisal on the final matchday of the 2020-21 season on Sunday.

Ultimately, the Scientific Soccer Lads finished second-from-bottom on the 18-team table, thereby biting the dust.

It marked an end of over two decades in the Premier League, which was associated with the production of some of Ghana’s finest footballers to ever grace the beautiful game.

top 3 talent from liberty
Asamoah Gyan

Asamoah Gyan - Asamoah Gyan is not just Ghana’s all-time top scorer and most-capped player but also Africa’s highest scorer at the World Cup with six goals. These are just a few of the achievements of the former Sunderland, Udinese and Rennes man who played for Liberty in 2003 .

Michael Essien

Essien is one of only two Liberty Professionals products to have won the Uefa Champions League. He began his career with the Scientific Soccer Lads, going on to play for the likes of Chelsea (where he won the Champions League in 2012), Real Madrid and AC Milan. He also played for Ghana at the 2006 and 2014 World Cup tournaments…

Kwadwo Asamoah

Asamoah made his biggest impact with Juventus where he spent six seasons and won the Italian Serie A on six occasions. He later went on to play for Inter Milan. The former Udinese man was a member of Ghana’s squad at the 2010 and 2014 World Cup tournaments

And the likes of Dereck Boateng, John Paintsil and Sule Muntari are all product of this fine team, we know they’ve been relegated but I know they will bounce back like they do. All the best to one of the biggest clubs in Ghana.

Sometimes good team have bad season it was a very bad season but they did their best, like I said I believe they will bounce back

As we all know in football, teams perform best when they have a good management system. Players may be top drawer but if the coach is mediocre, we will have a mediocre result.

Good luck to them and hope they come back much stronger, unified and better next time.

If liberty professionals had a good team with experience and excellent players as being claimed, I’m noyysurythe would have been relegated into the division one league.

Good teams with good forms stay in the premier league to excel. No one likes relegation, not even in personal life of people will they accept to be relegated to lower level.
Liberty should work hard and come back

Okay we hear. whereand who are 5he players the coach is talking about. Maybe because I donto follow local football I may not know them. Are this great players going to play in the premier league next season or division one?

Football is unpredictable you know, the league thought Alhaji’s King Faisal would be relegated at the end of the season but surprisingly they pull out of relegation. I know liberty had a bad season they need to make some changes in the team and also management.
