Ivorian striker Sebastien Haller’s double steers Ajax to Dutch Cup semis

Ivorian striker Sebastien Haller maintained his scoring form in the Netherlands where he scored a brace for Ajax Amsterdam in the 5-0 rout of Vitesse on Wednesday night.

Ajax qualified for the Dutch Cup semi-final following the win in the quarterfinal match played at Johan Cruyff Arena.

Antony and Haller seventh and 33rd minutes goals gave Ajax a first-half 2-0 lead.

The Ivorian and Antony scored once each in the second half to join Dusan Tadic on the scoresheet.

Haller is the Dutch league’s joint league leading scorer with 13 from 18 games at par with Gus Til of Feyenoord who has played three games more than the Ivorian.

Haller had a quiet performance at the Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon where he scored once.

However, he is on fire at his club where he is also the leading UEFA Champions League having bagged 10 goals one ahead of Bayern Munich scoring machine Robert Lewandowski.

Ajax line-up : Pasveer; Rensch, Timber, Martínez (56. Tagliafico), Blind, Álvarez (65. Schuurs), Berghuis (65. Taylor), Klaassen (78. Kudus), Antony, Haller (78. Danilo), Tadic

Thanks for reading :books:.

Haller is my second best player after Lewandowksi. No wonder he is the UCL top goal scorer so far, followed by Lewy. I kinda have a feeling he’s so underrated.
