Gyan and I would have been roasted if Legon Cities had been relegated – Fatawu Dauda

Legon Cities goalkeeper, Fatawu Dauda believes he and Asamoah Gyan would have been held liable if the Royals had been relegated.

The Accra based club were on the verge of exiting the top flight during their final game against Eleven Wonders, but managed to fight back to win the game 3-2 and stay in the league.

Dauda says he is glad Legon Cities were able to survive relegation.

“I’m supposed to be the happiest player, myself and Asamoah Gyan, because of our pedigree, if Legon Cities had been relegated, we would have been dead but God did it for us by escaping relegation narrowly.” He said in a post match interview.”

“It was a difficult season for us, but we were able to beat Eleven Wonders and now we are not relegated.”

Legon Cities ended the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season 13th on the league log with 42 points.

You come back to play in your country only to fail as a player and let down your team with such expectations de3 we will troll you papa… He basically didn’t help the team in anyway. No doubt he’s had his days but is time to retire and stop wasting our time

You are indeed lucky you didn’t get into that zone of relegation, like Ghana will be hot and tough for you. Especially that Asamoah Gyan, the way Ghanaians will crucify him. Congrats for not going bUT you and Asamoah Gyan have been a disappointment. Black Stars players
